Chul Heo is a Korean filmmaker working across fiction, documentary and emerging screen forms. He has written, directed and produced the theatrically released features Ari Ari the Korean Cinema (2012), Mira Story (2015) and The Return (2017), winner of the Golden Zenith Award at the 41st Montreal World Film Festival.

His vertical film New Normal received international festival recognition. His recent short Twenty-Fifth Hour combines AI-assisted imagery, Unreal Engine environments, LED-volume ICVFX and immersive sound. Across his work, Heo explores memory, empathy, public life and the human condition as technology reshapes perception and cinematic authorship.
